Prof. Wei Jiang is the head and professor of Operations Management at Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Prior to joining Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he worked in AT&T Labs, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology during the past 15 years. He was the past chair of the Data Mining Section from 2007-2008, and is currently a council member of the Service Science Section for INFORMS. He was a recipient of NSF CAREER award in 2006 due to his excellent teaching and research on information quality management.
Prof. Wei Jiang has presided and participated in many research projects sponsored by government agencies including National Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Education, National Science Foundation of America, NASA, Hong Kong RGC, as well as state-owned and private companies such as ICBC, Double Coin Group, AT&T, Lockheed Martin, etc. His main research areas lie in modern quality control and management, data mining and business intelligence, logistics and operations management, information technology and risk management. He has published numerous quality papers in leading journals such as Journal of American Statistical Association, Techonometrics, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Naval Research Logistics, IIE Transactions, et. He is currently serving as Associate Editor for Naval Research Logistics, IIE Transactions, etc. Prof. Wei Jiang has cumulated rich experience of industrial and business operations, providing consulting services ranging from quality control to marketing informatics and intelligence for a number of companies.
